Please participate in the WBA’s groundbreaking survey, linked here: WBA Survey
In the wake of #MeToo and the enormous focus on workplace behaviors that profoundly impact careers, the WBA has partnered with the Rikleen Institute for Strategic Leadership to develop a better understanding of behaviors taking place in the law firm work environment, identify steps that have been taken to address behaviors of concern, and offer recommendations regarding measures to promote meaningful changes in workplace culture.
This study comes at an important moment in our society, amid a deluge of media coverage reporting allegations of sexual harassment and other behaviors that impact whether a workplace feels safe, respectful, and inclusive. As these challenges surface, it is important to develop information specifically analyzing the existence and prevalence of behaviors that create work environments that feel unsafe or inhospitable to lawyers, paralegals, support staff, interns, and law students in the legal profession.
All responses will be kept confidential and there will not be any information revealed in the final report that could identify a specific law firm. The survey is open to anyone who is currently working in or who has in the past worked in a Massachusetts law office.
The WBA is grateful to the efforts of our Law Firm Advancement Committee Co-Chairs, Jody Newman, Sarah Gagan, and Heather Gamache, for their championing of this project. More information about our generous sponsors will be coming soon.
