Reproductive Rights

The ROE Act (HD 2548, SD109)

This bill will:

    1. Eliminate the complicated judicial bypass process teenagers must navigate before receiving access to safe and legal abortion for themselves.
    2. Expand access to safe and legal abortion services after 24-weeks in the case of fatal fetal anomalies.
    3. End intrusive reporting requirements for physicians and providers.
    4. Eliminate unenforceable restrictions including a 24-hour waiting period, and a requirement that abortions after 24-weeks be performed in a hospital.
    5. Eliminate outdated, medically inaccurate, and inflammatory language in our state laws that serve as a barrier to ensuring equal access for all to safe, legal abortion as guaranteed by Roe v. Wade
