Foley Hoag LLP

Since its founding in 1943, Foley Hoag has been on the cutting edge of advancing diversity within the legal industry and beyond. The firm has an ongoing commitment to disrupting legal industry trends that prevented it from representing the broader communities we serve and work with. In addition to actively hiring and retaining diverse attorneys and business services professionals, there are many ways that individuals are involved with DE&I at the firm, including service on the DE&I committee; planning and organizing DE&I-related presentations and events; participating in affinity groups or DE&I taskforces; representing the firm at recruiting events; DE&I-focused mentoring; and attending DE&I training programs.

“Foley Hoag is proud of its commitment to supporting women and attorneys from backgrounds historically underrepresented in the legal industry by renewing its relationship with the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts. Our long-standing partnership with the WBA is one of the many resources we offer women to support and enable advancement into the partnership and other leadership positions both within the firm and in the broader community.”
- Rosa J. Nuñez, Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer

Foley Hoag recently launched the DE&I Thought Leadership Series in the fall of 2022. The goal of this event series is to promote open dialogue, greater visibility, and understanding of DE&I issues impacting the legal community and the clients we serve, and share best practices across multiple industries. More than 200 guests joined Foley Hoag for our inaugural DE&I Thought Leadership Series event which was moderated by our Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer, Rosa J. Nuñez in October 2022. This event was followed by the second event in the series which featured special guest Glenn Singleton of Courageous Conversation® in February 2023 as well as the third event highlighting the evolving role DE&I in the cannabis sector in March 2023.
