The Women's Bar Foundation is proud to host a training on Trauma Informed Lawyering led by the Tahirih Justice Center. Tahirih Justice Center provides training and technical assistance to attorneys and victim services providers to effectively support survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Tahirih Justice Center trains and mentors attorneys and advocates about the science of trauma, trauma’s impact on the human brain and body, trauma’s impact on the survivor’s relationship with their attorney and with the justice system overall, and how to adequately work with survivors to build a legal case that leads to safety and justice.
