The CTA became effective on January 1, 2024, and gives all “reporting companies” existing prior to that time until January 1, 2025, to comply with the CTA’s beneficial ownership information reporting requirements.  Although numerous lawsuits have been filed in federal courts around the country challenging various aspects of the CTA and its application, the deadline for compliance is still looming.  

This presentation will offer a crash-course on the application of the CTA to US entities, including possible exemptions from coverage, and what is required for initial compliance and subsequent updates.
